Windows Vista: Dos Commands
There are many commands for use in Windows Vista through the command prompt. To open the command prompt, either go through the start menu - click start, All Programs, Accessories, then click on Command Prompt or in the run box type: cmd . Once you have the command prompt you can access many commands from previous versions of windows and updated commands also. Below is a list of commands you can use, you can find these commands by typing help in the commands prompt although there are many additions that are unlisted. If you wish to find out more information on the command, click on the particular command below. Some commands have been kept from the original versions of MS DOS even earlier than MS-DOS 6.22 however many features have since been discontinued.
