Windows Fax and Scan
Windows Fax and scan allows you to send faxes from your pc to other fax machines or pcs or receive faxes from fax machines or pcs also. This can be done over a phone line using your modem or through the network using tcp/ip and a fax server. The main interface for fax and scan looks like Windows Mail and can be seen below:
When you receive a fax you will see it in your inbox and when you send one out you can see it again in your sent items. There are various options that you can change within Windows Fax and Scan, one of these is the ability to have a cover page. To change your cover page, go to the toolbar and click Tools, then click Cover pages.
Once you click cover pages, select a new cover page from the next window and you will see the cover page editor that allows you to have various information or logos for your fax cover pages.
You can now create your cover page from the tools above the blank page including selecting fonts, font sizes, shapes, insert items and when you have finished you can save the page. You can also insert information such as recipient and sender information or format the fax in the editor through the insert section on the toolbar.
As you can see, from the main fax and scan page, when you click tools, you can also select Sender Information, so the receiver will see this when they receive your faxes.
You can also select the Fax status monitor from the tools menu that brings up a window for manually receiving faxes. You will be able to see when someone tries to send a fax and can answer the call manually as well as to view a list of received faxes or calls that have been received automatically or manually.
